As the search continues on
The River their journey again takes the team back into the Amazon as they try to find more clues from video on just where Doctor Emmet Cole is. As the title suggests, much of
”Doctor Emmet Cole” has to do with what exactly happened to Doctor Emmet Cole. Throughout the episode we see what exactly happened to Cole & there is no doubt that a hell of a lot is revealed in the episode but at the same time the episode continues to beg the question of what drove Cole & what is the mystery behind this ‘Source’ that he is looking for.
As the crew finds another possible location for where Cole might be they continue to turn up somewhat empty handed with the fact that they just haven’t found Cole. This time however they do find his bag located at the base of a small waterfall & it holds just about all of Cole’s final journey & where he may exactly be. As the crew huddles around the film room to watch Cole on video much of his very mysterious journey is revealed & so much more of the horror of
The River & the Boiuna is shown as well. In the video we watch Cole take his final trek into the Amazon with the last of his film crew & as they journey to the Sahte Falls they begin to be hunted by what seems like an evil spirit with a very haunting melody.
”Doctor Emmet Cole” comes off in the end with as much horror as it does reveal in the most best of ways. While more of the ‘Sources’ & Coles mystery is revealed we are also thrown more tantalizing clues as their journey continues. With only two episodes to go & the possible location of Cole found tension are becoming high to see what horrors
The River still has in store for them.
