"When I Think About You I Shred Myself" - Being Human.

From SyFy

Grade: B

Being Human is no stranger to pop culture references in its titles while giving a much needed hint to the plot of the episode. Much of ”When I Think About You I Shred Myself” continues to deal with Sally’s ever growing problem with the Reaper & her new assumed duties under the title. At the same time we also see the implications & effects those duties are having on Sally & just what it is doing to Sally’s psyche. As stories build up toward the finale we see just how bad things are getting for our characters & continue to delve into how much of an impact they are having on Sally & Aiden specifically. While Josh is dealt another card dealing with Julia we get take a look back into his past, more specifically the night Josh was attacked by the wolf & his friend that didn’t survive, played by guest star Jay Baruchel.

As Josh deals with his now ghostly friend Stu & his ex fiancĂ© Julia we see just how hard Josh is to try & prevent the problems that arose with Nora much to his demise but his problems start out pretty bad early on when he has to invite a now skinless Henry into his household for Aiden. As we see Aiden try to help to reform Henry we witness him bring in two girls for him to feed on & during that we get to see just how Henry became Aiden’s ‘son’ during the war. Meanwhile Sally is continues to deal with the Reaper & trying to adjust to becoming one as she is sent off to shred a former member from Zoe’s support group who is possessing a child. Continuing to try & do her best & justify her reasons he tries going to talk to Zoe at the support group only to find terrified Zoe as Sally sees that the Reaper has already attacked & shredded the group.

As the trio’s journey continues in the season we see that the hard work they are putting in to try to survive & justify their actions we continue to witness their actions only come back to bite them. As the episode ends things only seem to get worse for our group of monsters as things come to an epic rise for Sally & problems she is facing. Though the stories have fragmented for our characters, especially those of Aiden & Josh, they still have a commitment to help each other & here is where the episode comes to unite under that umbrella.
