"Don't Fear the Scott" - Being Human.

From SyFy

Grade: B-

After an exciting & tense ride during its last couple of episodes, Being Human decidedly takes a step back to catch a breath & bring back a bit of a slow build for an episode before its finale in ”Don’t Fear the Scott.” As Sally & the rest of the gang try to recover from everything that has happened, especially with Sally, we get to see another dinner party at the abode in what is decidedly a very strange double date. While it comes off as decidedly odd in an episode so close to the end of the season the added tensions the rest of the episode bring with the return of Mother & Nora more than make up for it.

As Sally learns that the girl she possessed earlier in the season has now been admitted to the psyche ward of the hospital she struggles with finding a way to make up for her actions & tries to convince Josh & Aiden to help her. As well Josh begins to struggle on where things are heading with the return of his ex fiancé Julia. In usual Being Human fashion that is when they decide to drop Nora back into the mix & back from a long tour of seeming destruction with the remaining surviving twin, Brynn who, as it turns out, was the much crazier of the two. Meanwhile as things seem to finally be heading towards a sense of normalcy for Aiden & Suren as well as Aiden & Henry, Mother returns to check in.

While it may seem somewhat routine that Being Human will drop some sort of bomb on its characters when things seem to be normalizing for then it is able to continue to still do it in very inventive & in the end harrowing ways. ”Don’t Fear the Scott” proves that while it may be a much calmer sea of an episode for the trio it is no doubt the same episode that presents the large storm in the horizon. With two more episode left in the season & with everything that has already happened it is hard to expect what exactly will unfold & that’s what keeps Being Human just so interesting.
